Our story

We’re working to bring a nonprofit Botanical Garden to Chattanooga — a welcoming place where people can slow down, explore, learn, and connect with nature.

This garden will be more than beautiful plants. It will be a community space filled with themed gardens, greenhouses, hands-on classes, family programs, seasonal events, wellness experiences, and quiet places to observe wildlife and enjoy the outdoors.

Our goal is simple: help people feel closer to the natural world. Through year-round workshops, educational programs, and creative experiences, visitors of all ages will be able to learn about native plants, sustainability, conservation, art, and the healing power of nature.

As a nonprofit, this project is rooted in community. The garden will create opportunities for learning, gathering, and inspiration — while also contributing to Chattanooga’s vibrant tourism and outdoor culture. With millions of visitors already coming to the region each year, a botanical garden offers a meaningful new destination that reflects what people love about this city.

With community support, thoughtful planning, and a vision centered on beauty, education, and accessibility, the Chattanooga Botanical Garden can grow into a place that belongs to everyone — a living space to enjoy for generations to come.
